1945 VINTAGE OMEGA SUVERAN MILITARY STYLE GENT's WATCH

item # OME803

Here is a very rare Omega vintage watch.  This particular watch is a Swedish market World War 2 military style watch.  According to collectors, it is also known as the cigarette watch.  Swedish soldiers used to trade their Suveran watches for cigarette pack and that is where they get the name "cigarette watch".  Of course, only a limited quantity of the Suveran exist in today's market.  Most of which are with refinished dial or in very poor condition.  This particular one still retain its factory original finish aged dial.  The hands luminous are the original lumes.  It is almost always that the luminous on the dial will aged differently from those on the hands.  That's because dial luminous and hands luminous are produced in different sequence and not mixed in the same proportion.  The watch will come with a brand new crystal and new case back gasket.  Original unsigned crown.  The rare 30T2 manual wind movement has been professionally serviced.  Movement serial number is 10579958 dating this watch to 1945.  The solid stainless steel unpolished case is original and measures 35mm across excluding the crown by 42mm lug tip to lug tip.  Case model is 2400-7.  This watch is ready for daily wearing and will come fitted with a new vintage style handmade genuine leather strap.
