1968 RARE VINTAGE OMEGA GENEVE CHRONOSTOP WATCH

item # OME952

Here's a stunning vintage Omega Chronostop Genève watch.  This is a basic chronograph watch for quick simple timing and they exist in many dial colour tones.  The blue dial variation is quite rare, and one with a racer dial like the one in this post is very rare to come across.  Driver dial is referring to the position of the 12 o'clock locating at the 3 o'clock position instead.  Driver dial Chronostop is less produced which is why they are more rare compared to their regular dial version.  This blue dial is factory original and in excellent condition.  Original set of index hands with unique original orange center second.  This watch is made for 1 minute timing.  The chronograph works by pressing the pusher at the top allowing the orange second hand to start, and once press again will let the second hand fly back to zero position.  Original signed crown.  Brand new crystal and new case back gasket.  The case is made of solid stainless steel and measures 34.7mm in diameter by 39mm from lug tip to lug tip.  Case model is 145.010.  The manual wind chronograph movement has been professionally serviced and running accurately.  The movement caliber is 865 with a serial number 27338318 dating this watch to 1968.  The watch will come with a nice matching 18mm nato strap which can be size down to fit your wrist by cutting to the length you like and burn the end to harden.  Wrist size in photo is 6 inches (extra length on strap has been hidden for photo taking purposes).
